What about adding some library for bitwise operations - say, Reuben Thomas's bitlib - to the etc/ or test/ dirs in lua-5.1.2? In that way the library wouldn't become part of the core of Lua, but it would be visible enough... Cheers, Eduardo Ochs http://angg.twu.net/
