You didn't happen to write CLU, did you?

Perhaps the creators of Lua didn't spend all that much time dinking with CLU
and therefore weren't as conversant in which features were available in it
as you.

Don't mean to seem rude, but you've raised another question:

Why so excited about this particular issue?

Lua is a very handy language and personally I think that, while its origins
are relevant, an absolutely accurate pedigree listing exactly which features
came from where and each of those languages' origins are slightly less than
critical.

Just wondering....
