Not suprisingly, I have an opinion (which reminds of a bad
taste joke, along the lines "that everyone has one ...").

I think we must be close to another work version, based on
Roberto's novelties, I am guessing that Roberto has settled
on the require solution.

The mooted changes that are in Lua 5.1 novelties are enough
to justify a new work version.

Regardless, it would be nice if you could post your cumulative 
patch.
