Fascinating article! Especially the details about the register based VM 
and the underlying array/table techniques that are hidden even from the VM.

Someone should post this to Slashdot; it's right up their alley, and 
while the comments there aren't always the most insightful, usually the 
sheer volume of the discussion brings about some good points.
