Hello,
How do I use LuaSocket with Lua 5.1?
On December 01, 2004, Diego mentioned that... "the next release of
LuaSocket (which is ready but still needs some
testing) already supports that standard [require]"...
Is that luasocket-2.0-beta2?
If yes, I'm not quite sure how to make sense of the following
environment variables mentioned in INSTALL:
LUA_INIT=@/Users/diego/tec/luasocket/lua.lua
LUA_PATH=/Users/diego/tec/luasocket/?.lua;?.lua
LUA_PATHLIB=/Users/diego/tec/luasocket/?.dylib;?.dylib
When trying to import, say, "http", I get:
require( "http" )
lua: Example.lua:174: package `http' not found
cpath: ./?.so;/usr/local/lib/lua/5.1/?.so
path:
./?.lua;/usr/local/share/lua/5.1/?.lua;/usr/local/share/lua/5.1/?/
init.lua
stack traceback:
[C]: in function `require'
Example.lua:174: in main chunk
[C]: ?
For the record, I'm using lua-5.1-work4 on Mac OS X 10.3.7.
Any help much appreciated :)
Thanks!
Cheers
