Lua MIDP & CLDC?

Besides Lua EPOC [1], is there a more or less generic way to run Lua on 
mobile devices? Perhaps something along the lines of Java's Mobile 
Information Device Profile (MIDP) [2] and Connected Limited Device 
Configuration (CLDC) [3]?
