If you mean activating and desactivating dynamically this feature inside scripts, I don't see the usefulness. It looks like a global setting, like the Visual Basic's Option Explicit, declared at the start of the module. Perhaps that's what you have in mind.

I suppose it is an option flag of the interperter, so you can put it on the shbang line.
