Is there any real reason not to use C comments? (yes, I know Lua is not C,
but I expect a good many Lua users switch between it and C, or at least are
familiar with C comment style).  I know I often use Lua comments in C by
accident these days...

Is there any reason we could expect /* or */ to turn up in lua code?
