Ion2 has an optional autoconf script with detection for Lua. However, it
does not automatically detect the renamed liblua50 etc. on Debian and
instead requires the user to specify some options on the command line to
use these. You may get Ion at <http://iki.fi/tuomov/ion/>. I have not
written the autoconf script (and rather keep away from autoconf) so I
can not help any further.
