Yes, I said so in the official annoucement and it says so on the site.

Ideally, yes, but unfortunately bugs.html is slightly out of date. If you
want to se the real diffs, see DIFFS in the 5.0.2 tarball.

I'll fix bugs.html soon. Sorry about that.

That's very odd: Lua 5.0.2 does not introduce any incompatibility.
