I believe this is exactly what LuaCheia, LuaX etc. are doing. That is, trying to bring order (and quality control!) into the jungle you saw. I believe this will help people to embrace Lua, since it really is hard to see what's essential, up-to-date, and so on just by browsing the wiki.

It's very similar to Linux distros, really. And, as there are several of those, there probably will be several of these, too. Because tastes and needs wary.

Why don't start patching all modules to use lua5 syntax, and take a common build method, etc. ?
