Lua 5.0.1 -- pre-release

Lua 5.0.1 is now available for downloading at
	http://www.lua.org/ftp/lua-5.0.1.tar.gz

This version corrects all known bugs in Lua 5.0, that is, those listed in
	http://www.lua.org/bugs.html

No new features have been included. This is a bug-fix release. A file
called DIFFS is included in the tarbal and contains all the changes made.

The reference manual has also been fixed: the spurious mention of
lua_closethread and several typos. The HTML version, at the web site and
in the tarball, and the pdf and ps versions have been corrected. Note
that the files are still called refman-5.0.pdf and refman-5.0.ps.gz --
only the date on the front page has been updated.

The intent of this pre-release is to give a change to find any mistakes
in the packing or in the fixes. If everything is ok, Lua 5.0.1 will
become the current Lua version before the end of the year. For the time
being, the links in the web site still point to Lua 5.0.
