I cannot make your object samples fully run.

Although the first part of the benchmark looks like if it run properly, when
hitting the first timemeth invocation I always get an error:

REGRESSION test starting...
REGRESSION PASSED!
lua eror: call expression not a function
Active stack:
    "function `timemeth` [file `object_test.lua`]
    main of file `object_test.lua`

I run it under windows2000.
