Yes, I was looking for something like the wxLua.
Are there any alternatives (even “better” Ones)?
p.s. How do I avoid that my response creates a new Thread on the mailing list? 
(I subscribe to the daily digest, and I try to respond by clicking on the E-mail link in the web archive).

I would recommend wxLua:
it has a basic integrated interpreter as well as being a good GUI toolkit.
