[Meta] Alternative to heated discussions on the replacement to mailing list etc

Hi Friends!

We have seen here a number of opinions and interesting suggestions
about the upcoming migration of mailing list to google groups or
whatever. It feels doubtable any quick decision could be made to make
everyone happy, given the small amount of time left (and supposedly -
people at whelm having other activities to concentrate on).

Suggestion is like this:

- regard the currently chosen option (e.g. google groups) as temporary
and "in test" - nothing actually prevents something better come up in
the future in more calm season

- agree on where news would be posted, so that even those who can't or
won't join google group can be notified if some other communication
channel would be decided upon (most probably this could be announced
at lua.org, but perhaps some additional setup, e.g. one-way email
subscription service like tinyletter - or page in linkedin could be
utilized, even by some enthusiast).
