I have made a Lua 5.2 implementation in C# years ago: UniLua ( https://github.com/xebecnan/UniLua )

I found the book "The Implementation of Lua5.0" very helpful and I think it might be helpful for you as well :) ( https://www.lua.org/doc/jucs05.pdf )
