The file http://www.lua.org/images/logo.gif is actually a PNG file.
I'm sorry about that. Browsers don't seem to bother with extensions,
but only with the signature inside the file.
I've recently updated the Lua logo to remove its white border but
did not want to change all files in the site. For some reason,
converting the current PNG image to GIF did not work very well.
