No; at this point the libraries used by Rembulan need to be written against its Java interface.

That said, I think it should not be too hard to write a bridge between the Lua C API and the Rembulan API, possibly indeed using JNI or JNA. But I haven’t explored this route at all yet. The entire library loading business is still in very early stages.
