Thanks you for this information, however, I do not think this is an option for various reasons. Such a fundamental feature should be part of the main branch.

Roberto, I hope you add "integer only" as a compile time option in the next version.

You might want to take a look at [1]. However, I still need to fix few
bugs found by Guilherme Salazar during this year GSoC and update to
5.3.1.
