Do you heavily hack the Lua documentation in sync with the source code?

No, I lightly hack the documentation (sufficient for my own needs); particularly I comment out rather than delete existing code and at least initial anything I add, no matter how trivial. I can hack the documentation much more thoroughly if I ever decide to publish--not a all likely for the whole thing, but if I come up with some useful item that is worth proposing, I will carefully document that portion of the code before publishing it.

I also always have an unmodified PUC Rio Lua 5.3.x installation handy, for various projects where an unmodified interpreter is desirable.
