The above is strictly for fun and contains no serious proposals, but I have
used my hacked copy to experiment with changes suggested on the list.
Do you heavily hack the Lua documentation in sync with the source code?
I also always have an unmodified PUC Rio Lua 5.3.x installation handy,
for various projects where an unmodified interpreter is desirable.
