Although Lua is not in the top-20 languages in this ranking, it is ranked #23, almost in parity with Swift, which is rather good IMO:
- #21: Coffescript
- #22: Swift
- #23: Lua
An interesting fact also is that Lua is located below the line in the chart, which means more lines of code written on GitHub and less questions on Stack Overflow. This is representative of the simplicity of Lua.
