Yes I am using godaddy. Thanks for all the links and help. I need to go through this step by step. 

Paul I did not use the archived version but the direct current code download from github, I don't know if it makes any difference.

There is something strange on your side, because I sent the same request as you with LuaSocket 2.0.2 and it works, but it shows the same output when using Fiddler as a proxy to see what is being sent on the wire.
