Yeah, I tend to fall into the binary opposition thing (two is
natural).  Mathematically, you are correct, but again imagine writing
the manual for the general N case. You rapidly hit the human chunk
limit (7 plus/minus 1) ;) [1]

[1] it turns out that we have registers, and not very many of them!
