And besides that, ~= is what it is now, and what it's been for years.
It's the language we've chosen and learned. If I wanted a feature
change, I'd ask for something more important than this syntax element
that can easily be conveniently worked around in any mainstream
editor, regardless of keyboard. The Lua developers have bigger fish
to fry with their limited time and resources.
