O Can the luars232 and underlying DLL be updated "for everyone" or does
it have to be fixed user by user.

O If I've got to do it, could someone please set out the steps involved
one by one?

O How much does a copy of ruddy VC++ cost me?

I've got a snapshot[1] compiled on MinGW/MSYS gcc 4.5.2 via a quickie Makefile. The DLL loads on Lua 5.1.4, but my PC does not have a serial port at the back panel I think. (Though I do have a tube of PIC18K14K50 lying around...)

[1]ynezz-librs232-v1.0.3-3-g41e139e.zip from the site

P.S. I've sent the files off-list to David.
