Couldn't we have a list of "official mirrors" synchronized by rsync and
used as fallbacks if the main host is offline? Maybe the primary mirror
could even be a setting to distribute the load in case it becomes too high
someday. That's what Linux package managers do. I would be happy to
provide one such mirror.
