I think one of the big reasons Lua isn't more widely used (as
previously mentioned by Elias Barrionovo) is because of the "do it
yourself" attitude that Lua embraces (and which I enjoy!).  On a
related note, though, I thought it would be interesting to write why
we choose Lua for our development:
