controlled exit

I’ve some standalone lua apps, how do I make them exit controlled? That is upon os request.

 

For now copas.loop() will simply not terminate, so seems to me the app gets aborted pretty rude. What if this happens while just being in the middle of updating a config file, that would render the file unusable and hence restart of the app would be impossible?

 

Any help is appreciated!
