Very nice!
It would be nice if you could make early (alfa/beta) releases along the way.
Thanks!

Openssl for Lua would be great, even if not complete...
At the top of my wish list for early features are the tools required for string signing:
1. Create pub/priv RSA keys
2. SHA1 digest
3. sign, verify
Here is how this works in another scripting language:
===================== Warning: Ruby code
key = OpenSSL::PKey::RSA.generate(2048)
PRIV_KEY = key.to_pem
PUB_KEY = key.public_key.to_pem
pub_key = OpenSSL::PKey::RSA.new(PUB_KEY)
priv_key= OpenSSL::PKey::RSA.new(PRIV_KEY)
text = "This is some text" * 1000
sign = priv_key.sign(OpenSSL::Digest::SHA1.new, text)
if pub_key.verify(OpenSSL::Digest::SHA1.new, sign, text)
puts "Works!"
end
=====================
Cheers !
