Hi,
We are an Open Source mobile community, and we have a programe to select alternative programming languages to write Android apps. Not just scripts, but GUI apps! We have many projects opened, such as Python and Basic research, but LUA is the most important.
Why? Well, Angry birds, one of the most successfull game projects, is using LUA. But we lack a REAL environment for Android Platform, so, we decided to create one.
First step is done: we successfully created a port to ARM platform and could write a simple LUA script from a Java Activity. Soon we'll be working with SDK / LUA integration.
