I forgot about this one. There must be a reason for that, as it seems as 
an unnecessary limitation? (I was just bitten by that in my app).

Recompiled Lua with GCC 4.4.1, also got -16. The previous result was 
with Lua compiled long time ago by GCC 3.4.
