lcurses release 4 is available from http://lcurses.luaforge.net/
There's nothing difficult about building it that reading the README
doesn't fix, which contains the example of building on Ubuntu:
CPPFLAGS=/usr/include/lua5.1 ./configure
--libdir=/usr/local/lib/lua/5.1 --with-lua-suffix=5.1
I notice that as I write, LuaForge appears to be down, so I'm happy if
this is still the case when you read this to email you the latest
tarball.
