that's only for 'wide' web.  for internal use, it's not unreasonable
to mandate a given browser and plugin.  even easier, hack an arora
build with Lua and wrap as a desktop app... nobody has to know that
the real app code is pulled from the server every day :-)

and there's also NaCL, which let's you provide the VM with the page.
nobody in their sane mind would install it... but it's already there
in Chrome, and that soon means phones, tablets, and now TVs too!  the
ARM version of NaCL is still too young, but it _will_ be deployed
