Indeed, it can be fun and fitted to your needs, but one of the purposes of using a (Web) 
framework is to be productive quickly and to use something full-featured and done right... 
Reinventing the wheel is fun but quite time consuming and prone to falling in the same 
errors over and over (security is one tripping step).
