Mine too (Pentium 4HT, 2 GB, XP Home).

Why does it not seem to happen with 5.1.2? Is it just a coincidence, or 
gc changed (sorry, I can't remember the changes).

Playing with setpause/setstepmul does not seem to make a difference.
