It means you tried to index a userdata, in your example you tried to setfield on a userdata, you can't do that by default. In order for that to work the userdata needs to have an __index metamethod. -Etan
it does have a __index metamethod thats how I can call methods on the userdata, do you mean I need an __index method? if so what should it receive as params and what should it return?
