LuaNews: requests for news summaries

This is a follow-up on LuaNews[1], a summary of the latest happenings on the Lua
mail list and elsewhere in the Lua world.

I probably won't have time to continually maintain this all myself, but others
have said they've found it useful[2].  The way to most successfully continue
this in the long term, I think, is for readers to submit news summaries in the
method described on the bottom of the wiki page.  For example, if you've
completed reading through a noteworthy discussion thread or article and
understand the points presented fairly well, why not post a short summary?  (It
helps you remember it and helps others discover and digest it.)
