Thanks Sam, Rici, for the help. I started to re-read the refman this morning to see if I find something that clarifies this. It seems that a little clarification should be done in the manual. Anyway, I'll go with Rici's suggestion. __eq metamethod would have saved me the pain of going through all my code looking for =='s, though :)
