I think he really means an environment, not a state.Yes, indeed!The keyword here is "sandbox"...Yes, again.
Take a look at VEnv (http://www.keplerproject.org/venv/). It works very well for Lua libraries but it does not solve all our problems (for CGILua scripts) because of C libraries. We are moving to Rings (a new library we are working on, which creates Lua states and enables some comunication between them) but I think it is not what you're looking for. Hope it helps, Tomas
