Behave "wrongly" (in the sense of "feeling" not in the sense of
definition) on nils. Try this:


  function a(...)
    print(#{...})
  end

  function b(...)
    print(select('#', ...))
  end

  a(nil)  ---> 0
  b(nil)  ---> 1
