Mac & Win lua networking?

Gang,

I'm not all that up on networking tech. but I'd like to add basic 
networking facilities to my app (which has lua embedded in it).   The 
thing is my app runs on both macs and windows.

I know there is luasockets out there, but that's for windows only, 
right?  Is there any solution for both platforms?  Or a solution for 
the mac only?

I could at least use the mac version on my mac builds and luasockets on 
the pc build, etc.
