BTW, since the version 1.60, the SciTE text editor <http://www.scintilla.org> or <http://scintilla.sourceforge.net/SciTE.html> can be scripted with Lua.

It started mostly as implementation of Scintilla API, ie. manipulations of the current buffer, but it will hopefully fully support SciTE scripting (all SciTE commands) some day.

If you need something formatted in the style of the uses page, I propose:

<H3>
<A NAME="135" HREF="http://www.scintilla.org/";>SciTE (SCintilla based Text Editor)</A>
<BR>
<SMALL><EM>Scintilla.org</EM></SMALL>
</H3>

SciTE is a SCIntilla based Text Editor. Originally built to demonstrate Scintilla, it has grown to be a generally useful editor with facilities for building and running programs. It is best used for jobs with simple configurations.
<P>
SciTE is currently available for Intel Win32 and Linux compatible operating systems with GTK+. It has been run on Windows 95, NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and on Red Hat Linux 8 and 9 with GTK+ 1.2 and 2.0.
<P>
Since version 1.60, Lua can be used to perform operations on the current buffer, using the full API of the Scintilla component.

I send a copy of this message to the SciTE mailing list, if Neil has something to add or correct, he can do so before you publish the use.
