- Subject: Attempt to perform arithmetic on a string value

Could someone tell me how to avoid the error, wchich
LUA sends when it performs arithmetic operation with
empty string value.
I receive A runtime error "8: attempt to perform
arithmetic on field `value' (a string value)" when I
do next:
A1.value = A2.value + 10; -- A2.value = ""
Maybe I have to use metatables for all arithmetic
operations?
