Just a plug for my software:
I wrote a shbang handler for Windows, as it doesn't support it natively.
It is available with source at http://philho.multimania.com/#downloads under
the name StartScript.zip.
Maybe it can be useful for some people.
I first wrote it because I used several Lua versions and variants (before
the loadlib era).
