I have succesfully built Lua5b on windows with vc6, just following the 
layout of the Lua4 project files I had.
I can post the files somewhere as soon as I find the time. (I'm sending 
you a zip file privately which contains a extract from my working 
project, I'd need to clean that further if I'd post it)
