That could be it.  I don't have a copy of Lua older than 4.0, so I
couldn't check.  I seem to recall I modified a copy of Lua to make it
happen for me.

Well, consider it an official request for inclusion, then.  I believe it
can help make cleaner, more concise script code, in the same vein that
it cuts back on number of indentation levels for my C code.  Would be
cool to have...
