SEE (http://www.codingmonkeys.de/subethaedit/) has my vote.

I wouldn't mind a good inter-OS IDE, but as Guide put it, one seems  
to come along quite nicely even without.

I'm currently pushing 5.1.1-4 lua51.info to be accepted by Fink, to  
be followed by a set of binding modules later on. Wish them  
luck... :)   = Add 'fink' to your repertuar, that should do..
