My original point was that determining where a Lua _expression_ terminates is messy in the "f(f)(f)(f)" vs. "f(f)\n(f)(f)" case.
Since the file compiler accepts one and rejects the latter, I guess that:
- it qualifies as being understood differently;
- it acknowledges that this case is messy.
